I picked up one of these for $29 from Sam's Club, after Christmas Discount.

It's designed for outdoor lighting (but would certainly work indoors) I haven't had a whole lot of time to play around with it, but it seems like it's basically a 6 channel color organ (x2). It doesn't seem to have any adjustment for each channel (but for the price I don't think it's a bad deal). Would work great in any jukebox project. It has an AUX input with a headphone jack cable.
I have a 3 channel color organ in mine, that I had to buy a kit for. It was at least $40, and this is a 6 channel. The same thing is listed on ebay in the $60-70 range.
My Sam's Club has at least 6-10 of these still left. I'm assuming they are discounted similarly around the country. I'm going to play around with mine later today and see how it works. I might actually buy a second one and use it for what it's designed to do!

Yeah, I wasn't hip to the emergence of rock 'n' roll Christmas themes in the 80s, and I'm still not. But pretty much any kind of music...except electro-ambient....is gay for a light show.

There have been a bunch of videos showing how that guy built his light show. It was in a beer commercial three years ago.

yeah, it was really close to my old work. I didn't get there until after it was shut down by neighbor complaints traffic... then the next year you had to wait in line for hours to get to see it... so I didn't bother... I wish I took the time before it because news worthy....

I personally am a big fan of flashy houses that contribute to epileptic seizures.

If you're looking to try to start up this hobby yourself, try looking up on Youtube 'animated Christmas lights' then look for a guy who is in Utah. There's a link on the videos to his own webpage, and he's got a video in there that lasts about 30 mins that talks about the setup, the cost, and the time involved. Apparently it's best to go to the after-Christmas sales at Lowe's and HD and Target and... to get all the lighted pieces.
All I can say again, is :notworthy: :notworthy: to people like Clark/Mark and thanks for sharing.
