I owned that game.....no...wait...I OWN that game.....Apple II+...in glorious greenscreen :)

There was nothing better than watching that backboard shatter!

I still play that on my Apple ][e emulator. I play my son. He is 13 and he laughs at the graphics. He does like to play beyond castle wolfenstien though. He says that is a cool game.

Please, beat your son...and teach him the way of the true gamer: Graphics always get prettier, its gameplay that matters,a nd that game is still fun to play to this DAY! :)

Of course he's probably asking "Whos Dr. J? Whos larry bird? White guys played basketball!?!?!"

I had it for my Atari 800XL...that game did rock.  I remember spending long hours trying to shatter the backglass.  :)

The game sounds cool but Wolfenstein and 4d sports driving rock!  ;D


I spent a lot of time playing those!

Funny you should mention it, but there were recently a series of pictures on RGVAC from a guy who bought out the entirety of Dr J's (the real one) arcade collection. One of the highlights was a Star Wars delivered straight to the great one from the factory, and played some obscenely low number of times. Was pretty neat.
