Title: trouble shooting my k7000
Post by: lenub on December 23, 2008, 12:49:03 pm
I have a k7000 in a cbinet with a 1000-1 board
had the  k7000 recapped due to dark half of the screen. I got it back and put it in and worked great .
Now no picture but sound ... the board is powered from another source from the k7000
so if I turn the power off to the monitor with 1000-1 still powered I see the game screen for a second as the monitor turns off.
any ideas before I start ripping into this
      thanks

Bad solder joints maybe. More likely the B+ regulator IC has gone bad. It has an STR number on it. Replace only with the same type number or it's equivalent.

It will be one of these four numbers:

STR3130

STR30130

STR3123

STR30123

Most of those cross over to NTE brand replacements.

If it had an STR3130 then you need an STR3130 or it's NTE equivalent.

got my STR30130 from bob roberts and changed it out and now I have a picture BUT it doesn't fill the whole screen (it did before) tried to adjust everything but no go only fills 85/90 of the screen
