Title: ArcadeOS newbie HELP!?!?!?!?!
Post by: austinrfnd on June 21, 2003, 04:25:41 am
Hey guys.  I am trying to get ArcadeOS working in the Dos environment.  And it isn't working.

So first I formatted my drives using win98 bootdisk.  Then I installed Dos6.2, and copied over arcadeos 2.5 and DOS mame 7.0 to c:\arcadeOS and c:\mame respectivly.

Now when I try to run arcadeos.exe it gives me an error of something about a .zip file, what is weird is that it gives me the same error when i try to run dmame.exe.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am dying guys!

Any links to help on tutorials?
Any thing i am doing wrong that you can tell?
Any HELP????

-Austin

PS THANKS for your time

i installed arcade os in the same directory as mame, no folder or anything just all the files in the mame directory
also...
edit your arcadeos.cfg
this way it knows the paths for your rom files ect...
hope that helps :)

READ the error messages.  It tells you exactly what to do and what file you need.  That's your only hint :)
