Dude that's some high quality spoofage!
No mention of Hugh Jackman? ;D

Nice trying to guess from which movies all the parts are :P

Pitch Black
Star Trek 6
Troy
Stargate
Aliens
The Last Crusade
X-Men
Anyone see any others?

The Lord of the Rings trilogy (I think they were from Return of the King, but I'm not positive)
Spy Kids
Galaxy Quest
Planet of the Apes (the remake)
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
Chronicles of Riddick
plus several more movies I couldn't recognize.

Geez you guys are good at this game 8)
I think you missed Garfield though.
Also is the pyramid with the sand storm maybe from The Mummy Returns?

It's Gigi Edgley as Chiana in Farscape.
Also, I want to say they show BeastMan from the Masters of the Universe movie, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I could be wrong.

They're broadcasting the old cartoon series again. No doubt in anticipation of the movie. A bit awkward in the beginning but once you get used to the stiff and repetitive animation, the show still rocks!

thats downright amazing, i would totally go watch that

LOL . . . where do people with such talent find time to do that kind of work without pay?

Undergrad projects, probably.

They might have a seasonal job - which happens to pay well. Look at koolmoecraig for instance. He does a commercial here and there, which lets him afford nice cars, and nice pinballs. He also has time to make all those youtube comedy vids.
Same concept....just better execution here. ;) :P

I thought it was pretty cheesy. They might well've just animated the whole thing. Planets don't just explode, anyway. Segueing - all that knowledge and ability and the inhabitants of Krypton couldn't even tell their planet was gonna explode....except planets don't just explode....UNLESS THEY'VE BEEN DOPED like in Greg Bear's THE FORGE OF GOD.
Carry on.

You probably don't believe in Santa Claus either.

Uh...movie? You DO realize this was a SPOOFED trailer, right?
-
They're working on a CGI movie for 2010 release, which is what I guess spawned this spoof...
Read it and weep...

Yeah, that's what I assumed, given Sing's comment.

No. I believe in Satan Clawusse. Hahn hahn hahn hahn.
Anyways, definitely the first season, and especially the pilot episode featured nice animation. A lot of shows did in the 80s. (Mightly Orbots is still one of my all-time faves in this respect.) Just really stupid stories.

@1:50 there's a shot of Shao Khan (shooting a fireball) from Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
Fun fact (and the only reason I recognized the shot:) Brian Thompson, who played Shao Khan, was one of my several guest-professors for on-camera technique back in grad school. He was also Night Slasher in the Stallone "classic" Cobra. Genuinely a nice guy... Scary looking as hell, but a nice guy! ;D
