Title: gun for arcade machine

im using a pc in a arcade machine using a arcade monitor using mala frontend im after a gun so i can play shooting games such as house of dead and stuff like that

at the mo i have a rf topgun which im struggling to get to work its jumping all over the place so im gonna give up with that

so what i wanna know is the any other guns out there i could use with my set up

The gun you have is a good gun, so don't give up on it yet. I got mine calibrated the first time using it, but after messing with the cabinet I needed to calibrate again. I know how frustrating it can be, but make sure there aren't any other "signals" that will interfere with it and make sure your drivers are up to date.

Try calibrating at different distances and at different points on the screen. Once it's calibrated, you shouldn't have to do it again and you can enjoy it.

ive tryed and tryed calobrating it im using the drivers that came with the gun but all im getting is when i point at the screen the mouse pointer is jumping all over the screen tryed playing house of the dead with it but its not accritrute enough

I would say no... better off with the wireless.  I had two of the originals and never got them to work.

i brought a wired topgun and it worked sweet last nite no problems

but today it wont just thing i have my cab in my conserverty and it gets pretty bright in there could this be the problem

You're likely getting a lot of infrared pollution. Draw the blinds and it should eliminate much of it. If that doesn't work, to prove the iR pollution, use a long tube (e.g. off an A1 roll of paper, or failing that some leftover Xmas wrapping paper tubes) taped to the end of the gun, when pointing at the screen.
