So I have ordered a Mameroom UAII Cabinet.... looks wonderful with lower dark red an upper chrome T-molding.
4 Player CP with spinner and trackball...
Decided on a Buckaroo Banzai theme.
The PC is a 5U rackmount case... mounted 19" rack rails in the back of the cabinet.
Will post pics later after I patch my drilling errors :)

Not sure if you saw my project or not but I went with a UAII as well.
Would love to see some pix when you get the time.

Just got the proofs of my art... theme is Buckaroo Banzai... if you have to ask, you slept through 1984 or are too young to understand.

Hey Dad where are we going?
When?
Great Theme!
Can't wait to see this done
-
Big Booty approves!
-
That's Boo-Tay! Boo-tay!
Can't wait to see this thing in progress - I loved the movie! Shameful they never came out with a sequel.

there is so much win in this cab desigh, so much win indeed. beautifully done. although I would have wanted to fully recreate the one from the movie (it was woodgrain with different sideart (obviously) but I think the marquee is spot on!
-
I love it, and of course love the movie as well.
Quick question, why the 6 buttons for players 3 and 4?
-
For console emulators mostly. And I use them with a shift function to add coins.
-
Thanks abzman2000... I started with a screencapture of the one in the movie... but there just wasn't enough footage to get a good idea of the overall design... especially the side art.
But the marquee was easy enough....
Thanks again...

First draft of the intro video... shamelessly stolen from various sources and stitched together.

Third draft... still not perfect... but closer.
And I received my artwork today... Looks awesome....more to come.

"I told you, it's Bigbootay!"
Looking awesome! :D

Finally cleaned it up enough for a few more pix.
Getting closer. still need to wire the pinball shooter and get my driving controls configured. (these clamp to the front)
And next time I pull it away from the wall again... I will take a pic of the rackmount case.
Spending most of my time tuning the front end at this point...
