Hello all,
Just thought I would introduce myself. The name is Glen and like the screen name I live in Illinois. Originally from Chicago but now live 60 miles west. I had never heard of MAME before but I am a hobbiest woodworker and someone posted a project or theirs on woodnet.net a while back and it got me interested.
I have always loved Arcade Games when I was a kid and I thought I would attempt some type of cabinet after reading so much here. (Leaning towards Cocktail Cabinet because of space issues) I figured I have the tools I just have to learn the electronics part. I want to make a custom cab for my home office/White Sox room. I made all of the cabinets from scratch in my garage so I shouldn't have any problem building the case.
Here is the office with my home made wall of cabinets. I want the cocktail table to fit under my game used bat collection.

Anyone out there from Illinois?
Thanks for the inspiration to try this. I am still only in the planning/learning stage.
I hope to one day post my project on the forum.
Glen

Nice looking office.
You've come to the right place for information about building a MAME cab. I found these forums invaluable when building my cab.
