Saw it a few times, but still funny :laugh2:
*Note: The boy sold it on ebay (autographed) after the video went viral. The little bastard.
-
hahaha
Are you serious?
Cripes, anything for a buck!
That little stinker. Still, funny as all hell.

Did you see the video of where the kid got the Playstation 2 box, freaked out, but when he opened it up it was filled with clothes?

No, link please!
-
I don't have one, I just remember the details.
-
Well if anyone comes across it, please post or link.
That sounds like some funny ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.

It wasn't funny, it was sad. You could see all of the kid's innocence and hope in humanity leaving him.
-
LOL!
Oh I got to see this!!!
-
I found it. And yes, it's pretty upsetting.

wow :'( ... that's the most cruel thing I've ever seen a parent do to their kid. Holy crap ... there's a future serial killer in the making. WOW

yeah it was me on the hyperspin forums, i'm just really looking foward to the new release from bill which should be any day now. (I hope)

Certainly it was a joke and the Xbox is sitting out of the box in the next room. They wouldn't SERIOUSLY do that to a kid without following up with the real goods, right? Right? RIGHT???
I remember one Christmas when I was a kid. My older sister (About 15 at the time I think - I was about 8 ) was a brat, and my parents kept warning her that she would get nothing but coal on Christmas. Well Christmas came, and there were presents under the tree....but not a one with her name on it. There was a bag of coal in her stocking and that was it. It was VERY hard for me to keep from laughing, but I knew it was in my best interest.
Holy crap, she was PISSED. There was screaming and crying galore. Finally my parents got pissed too and informed her that her real presents were in their bedroom. I think she had to wait until that night to get them. I don't think my parents had a video camera at the time, but I wish they had it on video.

Yikes. Some people have no business being parents.

kid took it better then I would have. What a bunch of ---smurfing--- ---uvulas---.
-
Apparently the story behind that video is the kid peeked in advance and he didn't cover his tracks very well. Serves him right in that case.
-
The doesn't even sound like a woman talking, it sounds like a black drag-queen.
-
Man...she says they can't afford to buy an Xbox 360 but she can afford to traumatize the poor kid with an empty Xbox360 box...talk about scarring the poor kid.
I remember wanting an Atari 2600 soooo bad as a kid...but we were dirt poor with a single mom...she did her best and we were happy with what she could do...but this....that just isn't right...its like being drunk in front of your kids...shame on her.
EDIT
Even peeking...how many kids DON'T peek? It still doesn't make it right...I will admit I peeked on occasion, im pretty sure the impulse to peek is pretty strong in kids and certainly doesn't warrant that as a response, not that peeking is right...
-
Opening wrapped presents and trying to re-wrap them is pretty extreme. I would hope most kids didn't do that. My sister usually opened all of her presents before hand - she was a re-wrap ninja. What is the fun in that though?

That is the fun!!! It is even funnier fooling your parents!
Lol. But seriously, that is why it is so much better putting the presents under the tree nearer Christmas. One day it is empty, then next day WHAM! There is like 40 presents under there!
That is funny as ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- though! But blatantly they had the xbox for him! At least he will appreciate it more, but the teasing is not good! It would have been more funny if the kid got up and beat them all to death with the video camera while standing over them saying "who is laughing now ---smurfette---!":laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
But that could be a little extreme..... ;D

Ah ... if that's so, then I can see the reason for teaching him a lesson, as long as they gave it to him after he suffered for a bit. Posting the video on youtube is still cruel though, IMHO .. the kid's embarrassed enough.
-
I think it's just freaking cruel no matter what. Nobody likes having a room full of people laughing at their misfortune.
Maybe the kid peeked, but the punishment far outweighed the crime IMO.
-
If I lived in that house, I would be sleeping with my door locked after putting that kid through all that.

You're right. They should have just taken it back and pretended there never was an Xbox period.
-
We should find out what Metal Institution that kid is in now, send him a letter for the holidays... It's the right thing to do.
-

thats actually a better punishment then what they did. Why ruin a kids christmas cause he peeked?
-
I'm willing to bet they didn't have a real Xbox for the kid. I've known kids with parents that would think this is funny and then brush off the kid's anguish because "he's just a stupid kid". More often than not with a glass of cheap whiskey in their hand.

I catch you peeking in my window again, I’m calling the cops.
-
I've seen that one before (with box full of clothes)
Perfect example of how to make a very angry, resentful, and depressed little kid.
I couldn't see doing that to any kid :tool: s
-
I bet the N64 kid grew up to be the attorney for the Xbox kid who murdered his parents.
See, video games save lives 8)
