I have vivavonno running system 22 roms which are ridge racer and rave racer. Thesed games are killer ! One major problem though i have mame setup on my six buttons on my cab but vivanonno uses c for gas and x for brake anyway i can change these somnehow? I use the i pac but would i be better reconfiguring vivanonno somehow please anyone who has dealt with this let me know what you did

if you have an ipac you could use the winIPAC program to remap your buttons to match that of the vivanonno config.

If he replies after these 5 years, then he is the world's most patient poster. He mentions the ipac option, btw.

5 years and he never even threw in a *Bump*
Maybe AHK wasn't created 5 years ago...or he found it.

I had a similar issue very recently and found it whilst searching through the many threads regarding ridge racer. So, i thought i'd revive his issue for others to see.
I own an original stand up ridge racer cab which stopped working recently. I used vivanonno to judge the emulation of the game (not bad, but no comparison to the original) with a standard cp.
I suspect the board is fried in the RR machine as it no longer boots up, so i wish at some point to re-create it in my cab via emulation.
Ive had the steering wheel and pedals out and all use 10k pots. I know there are a few ways of connecting my controls to a pc (U-hid, A-pac interface) but im obviously going to use the vivanonno emulator to re-create the ridge racer series.
My issue now is that i cant figure out how to configure vivanonno to use my steering wheel and pedals?
Could i configure the steering controls with the A-pac/u-hid sofware first, and then have the prog run in the background when i start vivanonno to emulate the joystick control?
Anyway, sorry for my utter ignorance in not introducing myself, being my second post 'n all. I go a little scatty when video game obsession creeps in......

As I recall, Vivanonno accepts analog input, so you should have no trouble using the A-Pac or U-Hid with it. As I also recall, the emulator doesn't have the normal "coin up" and "player start" options (I think you hit Q for the service switch), so it might not be as straightforward to work into the original cab.

You have to press 'Q' for both the service switch (when pressed together with 'T' ) and credits. Will be a bit of a swine for sure. But hopefully it will still allow me to use my cab for the purpose it was designed for. Cheers for the input.
