Title: MK2 rom swap from 3.1 to 9.1 or challenger hack revisions possible ?

I'm wondering if a simple rom swap on MK2 would make revision 3.1 or earlier into 9.1 or the challenger hack ? Anyone know if it's that easy like on Mk3 or is mk2 different
