Title: CABMAME: frogger hack question
Post by: shiloh on December 05, 2008, 07:01:20 am
Hello

I have compiled cabmame .128. I installed it on my cabinet and it works very nice. However, I cant get the frogger hack to work; frogger 9or other galaxian hardware based game) is trying to run at 768x224 and it end up being stretched on my cabinet.

I use an arcadeVGA with a standard res WG. GameEx is my front end.

Mame is configured to ddraw, no hwstretch and tripplebuffer is on. I have no frogger.ini with specific resolution.

the ArcadeVGA option in Gameex is on (dont know if it has an impact).

anything thing else I need to check or try?

thanks in advance!
Marc

You need make a frogger.ini file and add these 2 lines

resolution 352x264
switchres 1

thanks I'll try that tonight.

switchres is already enabled in my mame.ini so I cant take it out of the frogger.ini right?

yes

I noticed you had  tripple buffering turned on. I wouldnt use that unless your having tearing problems on certain side scrolling games. Try it with and without.
