Had this Dropped off at the house this morning!
Any idea where to get a new Control Panel Sticker?
Can't find anything?? :dunno
-
Have you played it yet ? :laugh2:
OK, seriously .... no idea on the CPO art.
Never have seen any for that one.
Great collectors game, but I personally thought the gameplay got old very quickly.
That one looks to be in good shape though.
-
Duuude! I love Satan's Hollow. One of my all time favorites. Awesome that you have the real stick, too, and not a black replacement. It just isn't the same without the red stick. Now you have to mod it so the stick glows, maybe even attached to the fire button so that it lights up when you fire.
-
I have to admit that I either never played it (not even in Mame) or that I forgot, but man that is one lovely looking cab !!!! Congrats and enjoy !!! :applaud: :applaud:
-
Thanks guys!
Funny thing is, got it off ebay.
Shipping was $200
The guy it came from. Drove all the way from Wisconsin to Here in South Carolina.
And he brought it in a 1991 era Chrysler Mini Van!
Whatever the case? Just glad it's here in one piece! :)
-
Strange. Okay. Nice cab. I played it when it came out and mostly liked it a lot. Still play it on occasion and my high score is around 71k - which was a remarkable game. I just don't see how someone could get much higher, the difficulty ramps up so quickly, and the collision detection is not on your side.

I don't think that anyone is selling reproduction CPOs. I did see on another forum that a guy had one vectorized and printed. His website is http://www.richieknucklez.com/ Perhaps you could contact him and see what he knows about it. Also I see your in SC, I'm in Rock Hill. If you are anywhere near my area, I know of a guy who sells all kinds of machines at a flea market and out of his basement. I went buy his place a few months back to buy a trackball and see what he had. I don't have much cash at the moment so I can't buy anything right now which is a shame. He had a ton of stuff for around $500.00 restored. He also had a star wars cockpit, a disks of tron (in bad shape) a mint condition StarWars upright he wants $1800.00 for. He offered to sell me two nonworking operation wolfs for $300.00 because he was wanting to clear out space. He also says he can get almost anything.

Well I only have three as that's all I have room for at the moment. That and my wife seems to get mad at me when I spend all my time out in the garage working on projects. I do have an unfinished room in the house that we plan on making into a playroom for the kids... I plan on sneaking in there when shes not looking and wiring up a bunch of outlets.... but lets keep that hush hush shall we! >:D I have a Galaxian, which is my favorite because it was my first and because the manufacture date on it tells me it was made on my 7th birthday (It's was my birthday gift, it just took 28 years to get to me) I have a Pac Man which had to be totally redone. The graphics were totally shot. The only things that I didn't have to replace were the cab itself, the wiring harness, the power supply, the bezel, the control panel and the joystick. That one cost a lot.... I also have a machine that has one of those boards in it that might get me flamed here if I ever decide to talk about it... It's pretty cool though, aside from a few minor sound issues. I would love to one day have a Battlezone, a Defender, a Ghosts and Goblins and of course my all time fav, Star Wars Trilogy (which I know I will never have the money or the room for) Oh and I also have another source for games in the area that on occasion will though broken ones in the dump.... apparently I missed out on a free Phoenix, Super Cobra, and a totally gutted Asteroids Deluxe... bummer. What games do you have?
-
Oh, I'm going to send you another PM for the contact info for the guy in Charlotte who sells broken games dirt cheap and who has been known to though them out on occasion. I don't know if your in the market for lots of games right now, but if you do go though all the trouble of negotiating I 85 and Charlotte traffic, I figure I should give you every opportunity to make your trip as fruitful as possible. So you are from Greenville are you? My sister graduated from Furman many moons ago. Greenville is one the nicest cites in the state, the downtown reminds me of a mini Uptown Charlotte and that huge waterfall is really nice.
-
Thanks man! Greenville is a nice place. Does have a mini Charlotte feel.
The Waterfall is great! Also like the Reedy River too.
Thanks for all the info you PM'd me!
My buddy is more in the market for some games than me.
I only have room for about maybe one or two more?
For some reason? I am wanting a POPEYE though.
Maybe these 2 guys have one?
Or @ least a empty Nintendo cabinet?
-
Like I said that first guy can get you anything you want or so he claims. He just sold a really nice Popeye a few months back fully restored for $500.00 He also had a nice moon patrol at that time for $500.00 that was also fully restored. I would have bought it at the time, but it was already paid for. The guy sells some quality stuff, and I couldn't sell machines in as good a shape as he does for the money. All the broken stuff he has is in pretty decent shape though, I didn't see any beater cabs at his place so I don't think he has to put a lot of money or time into them. I haven't been to see the second guy in a year, but at that time he had several centipedes a couple of pole positions and six or seven Mrs. Pacs. You didn't mention what games you have.
-
Thanks for the even more info!
Sorry i didn't mention my games.
You can take a look @ them here. http://classicarcades.ning.com/profile/BUCKETHEAD
I would like to see some pics of yours!
Thanks once again!
-
Those are really cool! Your pac man seems to be in great shape. I have one of those Clyde plush toys on top of my pac too. I wish I had a Galaga, I tried to buy one from the guy I picked up my pac from, but he wouldn't sell it because it was still working. I will post some pics of my machines as soon as I take a few pics and then figure out how to post them on this site (I'm new to posting here) Oh and I love that Iron Maiden somewhere in time poster.... second best Maiden album, next to Piece of Mind of course.

I have to disagree! I'm sticking with Somewhere in time.
However Powerslave is a good one too!
Somewhere in Time just seems to me" To be the pinnacle of their career.
Can't wait to see the PIX of your machines!
Thanks for the compliments on mine.
Should have seen what they all looked like when i bought them! :laugh2:
Click on my Projects below (TRON) and (DONKEY KONG).
They will give you an idea.
Thanks again!
-
I think that "wasted years" makes the album. I checked out your Tron and you Donkey Kong threads and I must say that I am impressed! I'm going to try to post some pics of my machines, let's see if I can get this to work.

Yea I know, but the room runs more than half the length of the house, but it's really going to be the kids playroom, so I don't want to cram it full of games. As far as the Iron Maden is concerned.... it's a SC thing... Buckethead had a poster in one of his links

Nothing looks better to me than a Pac and a Galaxian or a Ms Pac and a Galaga sitting next to each other. The uniform cabs play into my OCD very very nicely. I'm looking for a Ms Pac just for that reason!
-

I created a Satan's Hollow group yesterday on CoinOpSpace. You should join. There has been some talk on KLOV about reproducing the control panel overlay. There is currently not one available. (although as mentioned earlier, Richie Knuckles has created his own ink jet version). The guy on KLOV had a NOS CPO that he will be working from. Needs to get enough pre-orders before the project will go forward.
-
Hrm... let me know if that ever happens... I might be interested in one. I love Satan's Hollow.

I think it's a good combo as well. I also think Nintendo cabs sitting next to each other looks nice as well. Good luck tracking down a Mrs. Pac. If you have a place in town that rents those carnival rides and the blow up bouncy things for kids, I have found that they usually have a few machines on hand and are usually willing to sell.

I have been offline for a couple of days!
Damn your machines look awesome! :notworthy:
They really do! Love the Galaxian!
I appreciate all the info you gave me.
Me and my buddy are probably gonna go see the basement guy real soon! lol.

Thanks I appreciate the complement! So your going to see the guy with huge basement are you? You are really going to appreciate the outfit he has going on there. I hope he still has that Disks of Tron! I would think so, he says he's had it for years. I'm going to call the second guy I mentioned tomorrow. They had a bunch of games set up at a Christmas party last night were I work and the warehouse manager approached me and wants me to get rid of some of the games in his way. The wife has given me permission to try and sell a few machines, so hopefully the owner will make me a few reasonable offers... wish me luck!

Wow, Satans hollow, i am jealous. That and joust are definitely my favorites. maybe spy hunter.
