Title: Source for Replacement 5K Pot for Atari Yoke?

I am looking for a good source for the 5K 320-degree potentiometer found on the Atari yoke (from a Hydra). I found some similar pots at Mouser, but the closest I could find (Mouser #785-53C15K or 785-JA1N056S502UA) do not have a flat shaft. Happ carries one that might work (220-5373 link (http://www.happcontrols.com/amusement/acesor/repopts.htm)) but they want $20, and I can't tell what the number of turns is. RAM Controls has a set of two for $20, but they want $15 for shipping, and I don't even think they are in business any more.

The writing on the back of the old pot is:

Any other suggestions of where I can look?

IIRC RAM isn't out of business; David is just out of the country for a few months doing some contract work or something like that. $35 would be a little spendy though!

Use Jameco Electronics # 13995 pot ($8.89). You'll need to file a flat spot on the shaft same as the one you are replacing. This is a good quality Honeywell/Clarostat pot.

Your original pot is still made by Allen-Bradley (get out the wallet!).

I just got an e-mail reply from Jeremy at RAM Controls (super fast response!) saying that he is still in business, and taking  and shipping orders daily. So there is a $35 option.

Okay, thanks to Ken I can have some confidence that replacement pots can be found online. I thought I would post a table with some sources I have found. I have to imagine there will be others searching for this same part. I will update this table as I know more info.

*The Honeywell 53C35K pot has a round shaft. It will need to be filed flat for it to fit correctly.

EJA1N048F502M is the original Allen-Bradley part number. It's part of their EJ series. Allen-Bradley products are way over-priced.

A quick google search shows that Clarostat bought the Allen-Bradley variable resistors in 1990. Do you think they are still manufacturing the Allen-Bradley line?
