Title: How does one mount a trackball in a cocktail?
Post by: squid3660 on December 01, 2008, 07:59:47 pm
Hi all... I am finally getting around to putting my cocktail together which I ordered from Arcade Depot.  Mostly everything is coming together fine, but I did run into one snag... the end to end control panels (11") were custom made to fit a 2-1/4" trackball.  I ordered the trackballs from Ultimarc.  Now my dilemma is that I have no clue as to how to mount the trackballs in the CP.  There was not enough room for a mounting plate, so I had Arcade Depot drill the holes into the CP to match the holes of the trackball.  And of course, my luck, the trackballs I ordered did not come with any mounting hardware.

Do anyone know what hardware would be best to mount these Ultimarc trackballs in the CPs?

Thanks!

i've always used carriage bolts to hold my trackballs in.

Thanks for the reply...

What kind of trackball do you have in your cab?  What size bolts did you use?

Thanks!

i have a 3" wico trackball that i got from an old golden tee cabinet that i modified.  it already had bolts in it when i got it...i can measure them tomorrow...it's a little late now.  depending on the thickness of the panel, these may work:
