Title: volume shows up when I hit a button

This just started and I didn't change anything.  When I select player one and when I am playing some games the VOLUME bar shows up across the bottom of the screen and I have to hit the player 1 button to make it disappear.  I looked at the settings under all games and for the game I was playing (Frogger) and nothing is set for volume.  any idea what it might be?

I use MAMEUIFX but I'm guessing that this is the same in MAME....

Run up any game... press tab... select General Input... Select User Interface... check what key is set for "On screen display".  That's the volume bar (among other things). (from your post.. you likely checked this)...

Use an app like "keythis" to see what button presses are being generated... maybe something is generating multiple keypresses.
