Oooh.  Excellent!

I can remember I used to play this with my dad back in the day.

I agree.  I can't believe this story is not getting more love.  This is a really cool story.

It did on some of the Canadian arcade boards.

For me, a NIB machine would stick out amongst the dinged up cabinets I have. For Bill, however, the NIB cab fits right in.

NiB sticking out is fortune's way of saying "step up your restorations, buttwad.  There's a new standard in town."   ;D

I have a couple games that would look decent next to that.  Not as good as that, of course, but not out of place.  Then on the other side of the basement is all the project stuff in pieces.   :)

You don't know Bill -- he is fortune's way of telling NIB and NOS to step up their quality.  ;)

He makes hardcore pinheads look lackadaisical by comparison.

It's very cool, but dude's replacing all kind of chips that are going bad. Now mmmmm, why would they be going bad ? How about replacing those 30 year old NEVER USED, ONLY STORED caps on the PS, monitor etc. ???

A cap that has been used in those 30 years probably is in a better condition than one that never had any power applied to it.........and NOW gets the full load ......

Rest assured, "dude" will handle it ...

I love this game! I used to play this as a kid on my fathers Apple 2.  I don't know if this question is a no no here, and forgive me if it is, but does anyone know if this game is supported in misfitmame by any chance? I would love to be able to play this again.

Yeah, why wouldn't it be in MAME ? You only miss the fabulous vector graphics of course....there's also a special Mame for vector games that does a decent attempt to recreate the vector looks, but I'm too much out of the MAME "scene" to remember it's name. But Google will help.

I didn't use "dude" in a negative sense trust me Cheffo. I'm just surprised seeing his background (I watched around his site) that he didn't start with the basics. If it were my cab I wouldn't have turned it on without first replacing every single cap in there.....

No worries ... it just struck me as hilarious for some reason (or maybe I was just really bored)... Bill is about the last person that I would ever imagine being called "dude".

What I can't wait for is a meetup of the relatively local coin-op folks at his house. I just hope he gets the RipOff he is looking before that happens.

Ops, my mistake, this is available in Mame!  :-[ I tried it in version 99 and it works.  :)I assumed that it fell into the Pong and Computer Space realm... and thusly not in Mame... my bad! Now if I can only find someone to play it with me.....
