(taken from the read-me file) - I just replaced file, since the 2 buttons got swapped
What's this?
Mass Pinball Extractor is a little mass unzipper which can unzip all tables from a DVD
collection (which you need to copy to a temp folder on a harddrive first) and
also renaming tables, folders and snapshots to using the same filename, so
they can easy to been added to a frontend.
How do I use it?
I think the snapshot saw it all, so I think I wont tell its in detail. So
look in the gif, that was included in the zip file.
Please Note:
1. It might fail with few tables, since there is no standard how to name
these files in the zip files, so it might pick up a wrong version of it,
but it trying to pick the newest version, and even zip the required data
files, if there exists a data zip file in it.
If it fail with a table, let me known and send it to me at email (unlike Rom's,
this is a freeware simulator, so I do can't see the piracy problem with that).
2. This utility does also not convert image files from png or bmp to jpg,
which some tables might used these format as snapshots. If a frontend require
the snapshots to use in a folder alone, you can collect them by using the
windows search feature. Remember to search after bmp, png and jpg files and
mightbeen convert bmp and png files...
3. Yes I know Future Pinball is NOT a emulator, but its a simulator. It just
there I have its installed in the gif snapshot.
4. Don't stop the utility while it unzip, because it also rename original Zip,
then unzip and rename it back again.
_____
Please Note: Renamed the utility.
Todo: Logging what it have unpacked from the zipfiles.

Excellent! I am about to start getting my FP and VP setup on my cabinet again, this should come in handy.
Will this work for VP collections as well?

Nice work SF, although there is a util which sorta does the same thing called PleasureExtractor (http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=2770) ;)

That sounds dirty!

Yes it seen it does the same thing with headkaze app and seen a another nice :) utility I didden't discovery when I wrote this. This one does not require .net yet (wrote in Pure Basic), and works only with FP. Use the HeadKaze utilty for VP.
I did make sure it worked with the collection I have and prefere it with MultiFE in mind (works of course fine with other fe's) when system emulator support is released (its a christmas release)...
The most nasty here is some screenshot in my collection was spelled wrong, so it search first for if screenshots exists with 3 diffecent spelling, then it search for flyer, and then the first picture found. The only problem is I need to convert png and bmp to jpg, because MultiFE would only use one picture format (auto detect if it png or jpg in a contain folder), I would add t hat feature soon. But it was very few screenshots (about 5-6 in my collection), so it not a real problem.....

In the past I have created a Future Pinball wrapper which got a new release, since it didn't work with this utility (and/or the HeadKaze one).
This version have a better file check, so it should work, even in the newest version (where the focus might not needed).
http://www.spacefractal.com/files/App/FuturePinballWrapper.zip
NB. Updated again to add a splashscreen, so any editor windows should been hided while loading the table. The splashscreen could been much better, but hence you can edit the bmp file..... I guess most people might just create a blank black bmp file, so you get a blackscreen while loading anyway (remember to resize the resoulution based on the desktop resoulution used).

Just updated and renamed my utility, due it should support Visual Pinball now, since it used same collection format as Future Pinball did. I have still not tested it, but with the files I checked it seen to work. Hence it a beta (look in first post which I update now).
