Well... not technically. Saw 'Bolt' in 3-d this weekend. It's made by Disney, but most of you probably know that Disney integrated the brass at Pixar into the company. As a result, the former head honcho at Pixar is now the head honcho of Disney animation. End Result, Disney now can produce animated CGI films near as good as Pixar.
I thought the previews of this movie looked neat, and it was definitely an entertaining film. I would put it above a few Pixar movies, probably about 'middle of the pack' level. The 3d aspect made it better. 3d worked much better in a full CGI movie than it did in Journey to the Center of the Earth. Of course quick moving scenes are still blurry with the 3d technology, but mostly stationary scenes were crystal clear and had amazing depth.
So if you have young-uns, or are a Pixar fan, I recommend this movie for the Holiday weekend.

Thicker plastic glasses or red/blue?
-
Smooth, clear polarized glasses. You can wear them without the movie on and everything looks perfectly normal.

There hasn't been a red/blue 3D movie in years.... it's all polarized lenses now.
We saw one not that long ago... wtf was it... Shark Boy and Lava Girl, I think.

Makes sense. One wears a blue costum, the other a red? I saw a tiny bit of it on TV when the eight year old was watching. I thought it looked pretty terrible, even for a kid flick.

It was so bad my younger son asked when it was going to be good. I have seen few worse movies.

You can get a free pair of 3D Glasses from Rainbow Symphony.

I went to see this movie yesterday with my 7 year old daughter. And I thought it was a great movie, (rhino totally stole the movie he was Be Awesome)
I was surprised to hear that Madagascar 2 made more money on opening week than Bolt did, this was way better than that.
Not quite Pixar but a big improvement for Disney animation... (Pixar Lite)

My son, wife & I saw the movie sunday. We thought it was great. I agree its better than some pixar about middle of the pack. Rhino also stole the movie. We loved "Stupid cat get out of here"

Yeah, that was pretty damn funny!
And if any of you who have seen it are trying to place the voice of Rhino, you won't be able to. The voice actor was just a random staff animator who did 'fill voiceover' work until the real voice talent came in for the final cut. They liked his work so much they just went ahead and kept it for the final film. Pretty cool story, because now he gets to be a star, walk the red carpet, etc. HORRAY FOR THE LITTLE GUY!

the Wife and I saw it in 3D. I thought is was a very funny movie.
Rhino the Hamster cracked me up.
It was my wife's first 3D movie ever and watching her was just as good as the movie. We sat right in the middle of the theater the "Prime" seats for any movie and she was so pushed back in her chair I was rolling laughing so hard. The only words out of her mouth was "I think we need to move back!" The whole movie she said that. I was like babe its 3D its going to be in your face no matter where you sit. It was a riot.
We are going to go see My Bloody Valentine 3D when it comes out. That should be something watching her.

I havent seen it but he must have been damn good if they liked it enough to cut through all the screen actor guild red tape...
-
Coming from Pixar i'm not surprised they did that with the voice animator. Their animators do shorts as personal projects, that get released with their feature films.

Maybe he was already a SAG member.

He sounds like the guy who voices Syndrome in The Incredibles. At least, in the commercials, he did. I haven't seen it yet.

He must have been. Those SAG guys sound like they can be pretty ruthless...right up there with the UAW...

Syndrome was the "My Name is Earl" guy.
