Only £2499 - £2999! :o
Arkanoid fans might not go for it but it is a good looking table.

:dizzy:
Very nice indeed. Very Very nice!
-
I'm gonna double-post. I want one. NOW.
I can't believe how PERFECT it looks. I wish there was a video of the control panel coming out...
I don't think that it's too expensive. A decent coffee table will set you back £1000 easily!
-
Neat, super clean but not retro which is what makes cabs cool IMO.
-
Slick marketing. Looks like the same functionality a lot of folks here have built. Wonder what the viewing angle on those LCDs are... that's been the usual comment whenever someone has suggested a table like those.
-
The viewing angle looks super-good in the first pic, but I agree. Still want one.

I thought the same thing and but the specs suggest:
19" LCD TFT 178° x 178° viewing angle.
Can't be a TN panel, right? Gotta VA; I doubt it would be IPS. In the picture the screen even appears to be 4:3.

EDIT: Awesomes table BTW :)

So which one of our UK friends is gonna go to One Deko Ltd and check it out?
I say we send Franco! That way, we can watch him make one out of stainless.

Geez, sorry about the repost. I did a search for 'surface tension' and thought it came up dry but after re-searching, I don't see how I missed the other posts.
*Inadvertently bumped for quality cab*
-
I'll second sending Franco over there! I'd love to hear some impressions on how it plays. It looks really cool but I'd be worried about comfort while playing...
-
Looks a wee bit uncomfortable, but think how cool you will look playing on it. Its a high end coffee table that plays old school games, not a cocktail table. I would just set it to fish tank at parties and watch everyone oogle. Looks very industrial and awesome! I liked the original, but this does have a bit more flare.
-
HOW MUCH !! ?? :dizzy: You gotta be kidding.
-
As for the title and how a french guy once put it, "not never"
-
:dizzy: that price is a bit nutty.
I am looking at this machine, with my REALLY limited skills :tool:, and thinking.. ya know, that's not really to hard a build; it will just need the 'polish' most of my cabinets have never had.
-
I have seen coffee tables that cost more than this and they do not have custom game machines inside. Ask knievel what custom furniture costs. I buy most my stuff at ikea, and it may look like a high class piece of furniture, but alas it is not. This looks expertly built, I know I could not pull those perfect angles off.
-
Slick design, but I agree it looks uncomfortable to play. The CP is at such a weird height. I guess you sit on the couch edge, control with your knees, and that leaves your hands free for the beer :dunno
-
Agreed. I actually need a coffee table anyway, like the retro-fit option and the design is exactly what I had in mind for my living room - so I definitely would have picked one of these up...
Until I found out about the height. It's just under a foot and a half, and just not practical for any couch I know of (definitely not mine). For a standard coffee table sure, but not for one with a control panel. My back would give out after about two minutes of playing.
Other more minor gripes: Rivets showing around the joysticks, the smaller "extra" buttons make the panel look less authentic/cheaper, no option for other joysticks (U360), no spinner. There needs to be more photos online showing how you might hook up an external PC (I need to know my notebook would work easily).
I'm curious if guy queried the BYOAC crowd before finalizing the design? Maybe I missed it.
Nice try though. Maybe next iteration.

Form over function. :P
Give me a big black stand up with loud speakers and garish stencils/art. If the wife doesn't like it she can go home to mother. ;D
-
I agree with TOK, I like to play arcade games at a real arcade. Otherwise I would still be a keyboard commando, meaning this table couldn't be my primary arcade. >:D
BUT!!!
That is the coolest coffee table ever & why have a regular coffee table when you can have a MAME coffee table?
:applaud:

HOW MUCH !! ?? :dizzy: You gotta be kidding.
With stuff like this, if you have to ask, you need not have bothered.
-
I was only away from forums for a few days!
Thanks for the comments guys.
I can understand the thoughts on it being a sit-down, but it's actually fine to play. It's not going to be the same as a stand-up of course.
Any custom options (spinner/joysticks etc) are possible, but the intended market isn't going to know what a Happ super is, let alone differentiate it from the Sanwa. Nothing patronising intended... it's just a sit-down-and-play. Needless to say though, there is a reason behind all aspects of the design as it wasn't thrown together over a few weekends.
Thanks for your comment on the price uprightbass. You got it. It's a common justification I have to make, but I understand.
The manager of OneDeko actually sold the system in the shop to a rather keen customer and I am replacing it this weekend as he also wanted the new shiny piano black version, which looks fantastic... and so it should with a £400 paint job! So if anyone is looking at heading down there, drop me a message first to make sure it's back in.
I'm getting some more photos done very soon and I'm aware I need some action shots. They are on the large list of things to do!

Very Nice. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
If I ever go for that modern contemporary look I will have to talk my wife into getting a coffee table like this.
