Title: LED Light Questions
Post by: markronz on November 10, 2008, 08:34:20 pm
Hey everyone, I'm gearing up to light up my coin door and a few buttons and I have two questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.

1.  If I have a standard Happ Coin Return button that is Blue (shown in the attached pictures), what color LED should I light it with?   I'm teetering between Blue and White.  Which do you think will make it brighter?   I didn't know if blue lighting on a blue button would help or hurt brightness.   What do you think?

2.  How exactly do I light the coin button?   I've attached a picture of the front and the back of the coin button (as if you didn't know what it looked like).   As you can see, theres only one hole on the back of the button and its used by the rod from the actual button.  So is there some sort of additional piece I need to connect a light to the coin buttons?   Or do I just have to drill my own hole in the back of the coin door?

Thanks!

Slight update.    I did find one picture of how someone lit their push buttons here:

It looks like they have it attached to the coin mech, and just have it pointing towards the buttons.    The problem with this, I do not have a coin mechanism with mine.  I just bought this coin door from Happ:

So I am curious to see if anyone has any creative ideas as to now to hold the LED's in place without the coin mech door.

Also, still curious as to everyones thoughts on the white versus blue LED's with the Blue buttons.

Thanks!
