tick use layout names for directory names

make sure you have playstation 1.mll in your mala folder

have your playstation 1 background in mala/playstation 1 folder

and the same for any other layouts and it should work

cheers

The converter does not copy the required graphics.

You need to put the grahics in the MaLa folder (or sub folder depending on how you are arranged)

ok

i unzip mame layout to mala it creates a mame folder inside this is main pic and layout.lay
i unzip playstation to mala it creates a playstion folder inside this is main pic and layout.lay

i go in to mame folder copy the files to mala and convert layout.lay with mala layoutconvertor and name it mame.mll

i go in to playstastion folder and copy the files to mala but it wont copy as it say overwrite existing files do i need to rename them before i copy them over

make sure the mame.mll and playstation 1.mll are in the mala folder.
make sure your background image is in mala/mame amd mala/playstation 1 folders.
make sure your folders are the exact same name as you named your emulator
otherwise mala wont know which layout to pick
ie:  background pic should be in folder named mame
playstation 1 background should be in folder named playstation 1 and your emulator under gui/other emus should be named playstation 1
(it has to be the same)
other emu = playstation 1
mll in mala folder = playstation 1.mll
playstation 1 folder = playstation 1 and is inside mala folder and has background image inside

if you do this you shouldnt have a problem. :dunno
