Title: Graphics problem in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 JAMMA
Post by: DeLorean45 on November 04, 2008, 06:39:45 pm
I hope this is the right place to post this.  My UMK3 JAMMA board was working fine yesterday, but today the graphics are all messed up.  It plays fine, sound is fine, all ROM chips test green.  Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?  I play this game all the time and really don't want to have to buy a new board.  Any and all help is very much appreciated.  Thanks.

Here's a video to show the problem.

Well, I never did find out what was wrong with my UMK3 board.  I ended up just buying another board that was missing the ROMs.  It arrived today, so I swapped all of my ROMs over to the new board, and it works perfectly (not to mention it was far cheaper than a fully working board would have been)!  So now I just need to start building the cabinet.  ;D  I am planning to use MultiJAMMA or something similar so that I can have MK3 & UMK3 in the same cabinet without having to use MAME.  Anyway, I just thought I'd post an update.

its a video RAM /scratch RAM problem, I have a similar issue on my NBA Jam TE boardset, I just need to reflow the solder better at UJ9
