Did an intro video for the "Marvel Arcade" for my good friend thatitalian. Nemss316 wanted one with a "Superman" theme to it.
Its basically a comic book themed mala / other front end intro video made using a variety of programs.
Hope you like it ........

That turned out awesome!! Big thanks for the work on the vid!
I"ll be sure to post my pics of my cab once I get home.
I have a superman Marquee and superman control panel overlay. I am going to paint the sides red, and run blue t-molding. i have red and blue pushbuttons, and a red and blue joystick. I'm hoping to have everything completed in the next few weeks.
Again, thanks for all the work for the vid, I really appreciate it!

Knowing you like it and you will be using it is thanks enough, happy to help..

Very nice. I love the idea of an intro/boot up movie and this works perfectly for a Superman themed cabinet... I might ask you to make a Star Wars one some day whenever I get around to adding the artwork and finishing some other odds and ends on my cocktail cabinet...
-
Very cool intro. Will use it for a friends cab. You do know that Superman is DC and not marvel and the new superman logo sucks!!! Mind you im a nerdy "Silver Age" freak
-
You do know that Superman is DC and not marvel
He never said it was Marvel. Read that post again.

What does that have to do with anything?? Or are you just being fesecious for the sake of it? :censored:
-
You brought it up.
-
I'll take that as a yes then. :dunno

Very cool. PM coming your way...

I don't see why you have no understanding of this. He said he did a marvel one and a supes one. You said "You do know that Superman is DC and not marvel" and I pointed out that he never said that to begin with. Then you get this crazy idea that I'm messing with you.

Calm down guys .....
The Marvel one I did was the first intro I have created, I grabbed a load of digital comics from the Marvel website and used an intro tune from one of the WWE wrestlers to get the thump thump thump music ( I thought it was near enough to the usual start of Marvel movies ).

The Superman one used the same process but the DC comics website is not as friendly and it was harder to grab some comic pictures. It was however as lot easier to get pictures of Superman and the theme tune. The only problem I had was deciding if it was a comic book theme cab / epsiode theme cab / or movie theme cab. Nemss316 said he wanted a comic theme in the same style of the Marvel one ......

:notworthy:
That is fantastic. Although a DC fan I gotta say that Marvel intro is superb!! Has a great comic feel even more than the supes one. You need some highres comic stuff from DC? Got loads of resources as I've scanned half my collection. Let me know if you need any.
-
If you have any it would be appreciated. I could find some stuff but it was not hi-res. Better if the colours are brighter like the newer comics - the old ones are ok but a bit bland.
-
Sorry took so long a lot going on :dizzy:
Is this large enough for you?
-
Thanks

Very impressive work. Have you done any "Arcade" themed intros?
-
To be honest, been interested in video files for a while now. Done the usual dvd menus, pictures slideshows for family and friends special occasions and events etc. The first stuff uploaded were the "Marvel" and "Superman" intro's. I am currently working on an Indiana Jones for the "Lost Arkade" project here on the forums, but not really creating from scratch - just editing and adapting the dvd menu sequence for somunny to use on his cab.
May get into 3d modelling, but trouble with new things is that they take a long time to learn - my wife is only so patient with me disapearing for hours on end :hissy:
-
Hehe... you know that intro is going to look crazy on my cab! :afro:
-
Very nice looking! If you get bored some day and want to churn out a few generic "arcade" or "mame" intro's I am sure there are many around here (including me) who'd be very appreciative.
-
Will certainly do that. I am getting better the more practice I get, so no problem.

Yes, I totally agree. If you are looking to get in some practice and would like to make a video with a classic/generic arcade theme, I am sure you would get a lot of interest from this board.
Something showing some arcade videos of games running, or some cabinets, marquees, etc. Would probably go over very well and be used by many as a front end intro video. I would like to have something like that to play prior to having my MALA front end launch.
-
HairyDVD,
Real nice work... Mind if I ask what software you use to make these intros?
-
I use "memories on tv" a slideshow creator. Using a turn page transition effect between each slide combined with a pan and zoom and overlay text.
-
I would love to a see a start up movie based on the arcade games, say if you were to dc comics than use screen captures from the superman and batman games. The music in the superman game isn't that bad and would give a sense of the arcade feel know what I mean? There are ton of marvel stuff too, especially x-men and marvel superheroes.
-
Very, very sweet movies guys.
