Title: 14" 'Atari' Matsushita - I killed monitor adjusting a pot!
Post by: RayB on October 24, 2008, 02:36:02 pm: I need info regarding the 14" monitors used in Missile Command cabarets. ~~I believe it's a Sanyo, though it could be another japanese make.~~ *Edit* It's a Matsushita.

I adjusted the left most potentiometer yesterday, and it killed the monitor. I'd sure like to know what the pot was and why it would blow parts just by tweaking it. *Edit* Cuz it was the damn B+ voltage! :(

Hmmm .. those usually have some form of glue on them from the factory. Which makes them stand out to me when first looking at a chassis.
Unless it's been fiddled with prior to you of course.

Sanyo foldover: replace C406.

Matsushita = Panasonic so it shouldn't be that bad ....
