Title: Analog or Digital Pedal?
Post by: tevans333 on October 21, 2008, 12:15:44 pm
I am looking for some advise on what others have done or would do. I have a Konami GT cab that came with a 360 degree steering wheel, a high low shifter and a digital pedal. I am going to mame it and would like to add as many 360 degree steering games to it as possible. My question though is would I be better off keeping the digital pedal or putting in an analog pedal? My thought is that an analog would cover me in all cases?

On a side note; are there any 270 degree steering games that would work and feel accurate on a 360 degree wheel?

I say go analog, but if you're a person only plays with the pedal all down or all up all the time, you won't notice the difference so you could stay digital.  IMO even one game that sometimes needs partial throttle is enough to go analog, though.

The 360 wheel will work, but I doubt it'll "feel accurate".  No return to center and no turn limiter.  Whether that's good enough for you is opinion.
