Hello all,
Initially, I presented this project in this thread, but I think it now needs it's own.
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=84809.0
I finally got the last part I needed(the tivipad) and started the build
Keep in mind it's my first attempt at woodworking.
Here's what I got so far
PS:don't make fun of my beautiful marquee ;D

I am in need of some advice for power.
here is a list of all the component's power adapters.
screen=12v 500mA
speaker=12v 800mA
tivipad=4.5v 800mA (this is what's been powering it for testing, works fine)(normally 4*AA batteries)
Marquee LEDs:4.5v will do, normally 3*AAA batteries
I wanted to power it all with one power supply(the white one in the pics), it provides 12v/1.5Ah, and i tought maybe a car cellphone charger to provide 4-5v for the tivipad and LEDS
Is this possible and safe?

A quick update.
sorry for the poor picture quality.
Cheers.

Are you going to have enough room in there to move that joystick to the left?
-
put it outside in the sun and take a good camera and make some new pictures
this really does not do it justice

It is indeed too close to the left edge, I'm still trying to find the right place fort each part of the CP, but I also want the cp overlay design to look good.
it is rather small and it's a pain to fit everything in, but I think it's a good challenge.

I will, in time.
I am more focused on building than on shooting right now, but I'll try (I have a Digital SLR, but I don't Like to get it down in the basement, too messy).
As I stated in the first post, It's my fisrt attempt at wood working, and I gladly admit I suck at it.
If I'm not satisfied with the wood work, A friend offered his help to cut some new wood.
Right now, I am working out how to power everything, and fitting everything inside.
Once all that is done, it wouldn't be too difficult to take it all apart and remake all the wood parts.
