If so, then how?

No idea how, I'm just not that clever!!

Mame will run CPS3 games happily :) It'll tell you that emulation is not 100% accurate but it looks and plays CPS3 perfectly.
All you do, is cop hold of the relevant CPS3 rom, stick it in the roms folder, cop hold of the relevant CHD image and stick that in a folder named after the rom, the folder wih the CHD inside also goes in the roms folder, and bob's your aunties live in lover :D

Mame does not yet do Naomi, a recent Dreamcast emulator does, not perfectly, but very well :)
NullDC 1.0.3 (I think!?!?!). However this may not be updated for some time, but other DC emulators are still working on it. DCemul i think...........  ???
Nothing official yet, but apparently Mame will be adding Naomi shortly......

^ Thanks. I never knew that about CPS-3 games. (CHDs) probably why Street Fighter III won't work.  ;)

I was poking around and read somewhere that we could expect Naomi emulation by 2010, so until then, I guess it's nullDC. I just wish I could find any naomi games.

Some of us here use a real dreamcast wired into our cabs so all them type games play great the way they were meant to be played in there true native display.

Also DC was evolved around 15K and actually looks best when ran in a true native 15K display that is why the arcade games and the DC games are the same pretty much.

The DC light guns also work on composite sync arcade monitors but they only had a few light gun games unfortunatly but still a plus for some house of dead action lol.

I do have some Dreamcast games, so perhaps I'll buy one. (and more games of course :)

however, I'm still having trouble with street fighter III. What all do you need to play the game on mame? I'm using both .114 and .127.

the matching rom and chd files needed for that particular version of mame.

This may be a dead post but, I run nulldc and it works perfectly in my cab. As for the cps3 I use the cps3 emulator and it works flawless aswell.
