Title: Have an idea for cabinet artwork, but don't know how to make it. Help?
Post by: Chris2 on October 19, 2008, 11:05:21 pm
my idea (for side art) is to make a portal in space, only when you look inside you see space, stars, and green PCBs, as if you were peering through a hole in the arcade machine. Then, you would see a row of power pellets and a space invader, rendered in 3D, exploding out of the image at an angle, giving a cool 3D effect, and then write the machine name (Time Warp or something like that) shooting out in the same style. I can picture exactly what I want in my head, but I don't know how to create it. Does anyone know of a way that I could A) create it myself, or B) have someone make it for me? I know that Pixelhugger does some freelance work, but he seems really bogged down at the moment and I'd hate to give him another thing to worry about (not to mention that it would be a long time before he caught up with everyone.)

So, how about it? Anyone got some advice?

I'm reading the FAQ section now, but any other help would be preferred.

grab a trial version of photoshop then get pictures of all the things you want in there - your stargate, space invader, power pellets and whatnot and then compose a mock-up of the side art.

sounds like you have the vision!
