I was going to buy Wells Gardner 27'' D9800 (Click) (http://www.xgaming.com/htm/wells-gardner-mame-arcade-cabinet-machine-monitor.shtml?__utma=1.1693476864250552300.1223964252.1224048469.1224356868.3&__utmb=1.1.10.1224356868&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1224048469.2.2.utmcsr=google|utmccn=(organic)|utmcmd=organic|utmctr=x%20arcade&__utmv=-&__utmk=207903634) but then I started seeing complaints about Wells Gardner...
So here is my question:
What is the best hands down 27'' monitor for MAME? Also, what are my options besides the Wells Gardner monitor?
Thanks ahead of time guys!

There isn't one.

There isn't one.
So you're saying the D9800 is the ONLY way to go for a 27'' solution?

I like my nanao 26" better then the wells but it is only 15k and 25K selectable no 31K vga.
-
Well, I'm partial towards Nieman Video Displays but that's why I sell them.

IMO, the only two multisync arcade monitors suitable for MAME right now are the D9400 and the D9800 (in that order).
-
I believe Betson is still selling a 27" multisync.

So the only two options are Wells Gardner and their poor quality reputation as of late, or the "squishy" Betson.

That is an older thread though and most of the negative press was with the D9200, which is the predecessor to the D9400 (no one around here questions the crappiness of the D9200 that's for sure). WG have supposedly "fixed" most of the issues with the D9200 in the D9400 (as an example they now use 105 degree caps in the D9400: http://www.wgec.com/pdf/Spec/D9400_SPEC.pdf) . Whether it's really more reliable or not I'm not sure, but I also haven't read of many quality control issues with the D9400 (especially compared to the number of D9200 issues). If you have some I'd be interested to hear about them. At any rate, I agree that the options for MAME multisyncs aren't exactly great. I'll bet in a year or two there will be no options.

Thats part of the reason why I jumped on the D9400 now. With WG going to the flat D9800, I wanted to go with a more 'authentic' feel.
With all the searches I have done on the D9400, I could not find many complaints about them. Once I get mine, I will give a complete and objective review with photos.

No, he's not saying anything, which is typical.
Look at Rick Niemans stuff. They're highly regarded and he's helpful on the forums regardless of the monitor brand you choose.
I've got an older WG 27" (7000 series) that I got as new old stock and it's been fine, but WG are no longer highly regarded.

Here is link... He sells through vendors, but you can check his stuff here.

Jeez, don't be a doofus. He asked what the best solution was. I said there wasn't one - meaning all have some issue, catch, or it's an unknown - which would be obvious from a little searching here.

You always speak in vague terms and never answer anyones questions. That makes me think you actually don't know anything, but can't resist replying.

Sometimes. Not always.

You should know better than that.
...but can't resist replying.
I see how it is.
