i watched it in japanese with subtitles, didn't read the subtitles and thought it was ---smurfing--- amazing
-
Which dub is it? The new dub on the American DVD release pissed me off so bad I've never watched the movie again.
I love the new (proper translation) dub. Kaneda is voiced by the same guy who dubbed Vash the Stampede!
-
I would hope on the BD release they would include several of the audio tracks...plenty o space.
Oh, and GREAT movie....(why do we have this ----> :burgerking: ?????)
-
oooh... adding this to my Bluray wish list
-
I grew up on the original dub, too, but you don't hear me crying. ;)
-
The new dub is just as bad as the old one, but I grew up hearing the old one.
I couldn't believe how pissed I got when I heard the new dub. :/ Supposedly there's some European 'unrestored' copy out there with the original dub.
Yep and its all mine. ;D
Blueray - bid deal - you can go out and buy another title you have in your collection that supposed to be the last release...then its out on another label. I must have 10 different versions of the movie. Only this time its more money and looks cool on your big screen, just like the DVD version. ::)
The Jap original is the best with subtitles, as I cannot read Japanese....yet. The English dubbed version is pants.

If you don't want to buy it, then don't; :dunno
I for one, really have been enjoying watching "library" titles being released onto BD. I just watched (for the eleventy brazillionth time) The Shining, but it was amazing re-watching it as a BD release. Is it the cleanest BD transfer I've seen? Nope, but it is significantly clearer and more vibrant that the DVD version, and this is viewing it on the same gear, etc. Higher resolution is not hype, but if you choose not to re-buy titles on a new media, then don't.

I have the Blu-Ray of T2, as well as the DVD version. I loaded both up, Blu-Ray on my PS3, and the DVD on my up-converting DVD player. I watched several scenes back to back to see the difference. Blu-Ray is hands down the winner. Far far more detail, better color, and uncompressed soundtracks (although I had a hard time hearing the difference, that may be because of my home theater receiver, though).

i also grew up with the old english dub. i can almost quote the entire movie.
never found that dub on dvd or higher.
i have a 2 disc svcd with the old dub

Ok just because you typed that, I won't now. I was gonna but no you stopped it.
That Blockbuster on the corner is going to lose my BD business now, all because of you. :P
