Title: Who has bought from one day glass?
Post by: ivwshane on October 16, 2008, 07:19:05 pm: I'm ready to order glass for my cab and I would like to know how accurate I need to be and what color I should be getting (solar gray or dark gray).

For instance I measured a width of 28.5 which leaves roughly a 1/16 gap, is that enough of a gap or too much if I plan on getting a seamed edge (not rounded)?

Post by: saint on October 17, 2008, 07:31:22 am: Safety glass. I wish I had thought to specify that mine was safety glass. Also, don't be afraid to get something a bit darker than you might first think. A bright monitor will shine through, and the dark glass will hide what you don't want seen.

Post by: javeryh on October 17, 2008, 08:52:00 am: Also, I highly highly highly recommend that you make a template out of MDF and bring it to your local glass shop (don't just order the glass over the phone). Things aren't always perfect when you take measurements - the template will ensure the glass fits perfectly.

Post by: TelcoLou on October 17, 2008, 01:33:48 pm: I ordered from them. Solar grey tempered. It really makes the colors "pop", contrast is better, etc. I didn't have to adjust the brightness or contrast of the monitor either. Highly recomended :burgerking:
