Well now that I've got more emu's loaded I've got a big new problem..crashing :banghead:
When I was scrolling through my main Visual Pinball gamelist I had it crash with this error in the log:
8/10/13 23:34:49.89 Error: Object Class: TfrmMain, Object Function: CropStringLength, Exception Class: EOutOfMemory, Exception Message: Out of memory
Also had it happen in my Super Nintendo list but the Vpinball is the worst.
I did a search and found people crashing while scrolling due to bad vids/snaps.
I don't have any vids so that's not it. I tried removing the snaps and it made no difference, so that's not it.
If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears..

Oh Crap :(
My bet was a bad snap or image.
Nothing else make much sense if your other game lists are ok
Does it crash on the same game names in the list? A common group of game names?
-
Seemed to be random but I'll do some more testing.
Unusable as it is I'm afraid. I can't even get to the tables I want to play.
-
Maybe it's some edge case with your game list? If you post the game list maybe someone can reproduce it. Also could try rebuilding your faulty game list.
-
Nevermind. :)
-
I just mean a condition of your game list that isn't very common. Still could be your game list, so it might be helpful to post it. For instance, it could be that moving off of the game above Golden Eye is the problem, as opposed to moving onto Golden Eye.

Just solved it actually :)
Did some investigating and found a few tables with country names(in brackets) inside the manufacturer brackets.
Like this:
Great Circus (Alben(France)) (1958)
Removed the country names and brackets and all is well now.
Thanks all. Think I've just about got this FE tweaked.

Cool! And hopefully your report will make it an easy fix for loadman.

Nice Work. :applaud:
I will try and trap this scenario a little better. Too many Brackets ;)
Thanks
