Title: need help.
Post by: MILO on October 11, 2008, 02:51:29 pm
I built an Ultimate arcade 2 cabinet but it was out of MDF board. Now I want to build one made out of wood. Something really nice and that looks expensive. What kind of wood should I look for when I go to home depo? please post pics thanks.

You need to see the actual woods finished and in quantity before you pick.  Go furniture shopping or visit a hardwood floors store, it'll tell you what your project would look like with better context than a jpeg on a monitor.  I agree with post that says cabinet grade plywood, this type is VERY rigid for the thickness/price and it usually has a wonderful outside surface that can be sanded and stained/enameled with the best.
