I'm curious since now I'm wiring a JAMMA cabinet looking at the 60 in 1 icade, is it emulated ? Has any one on here used it before, what's your overall thoughts on them. I know wu on klov sells them for 120, and jammaboards has it for 150. Wanted to know a little bit of what people thought about them.
Also I noticed on JAMMA boards they sell a 6 switchable pcb thing with a remote, does this exist for a 2-way switchable so i can have a dedicated / and switch it with the 60 in 1 off my JAMMA ?
also: I was curious if some one know's of a service that if you want a custom let's say 60 in 1, but you want to choose the actual games, instead of the ones that are provided on the list.

Yes, it is an unlicensed copy of MAME with unlicensed ROMS and, as such, saint has asked us not to talk about sources for such boards.
The sounds aren't always right and high scores don't save. Having said that, neither of those bother me, so I like the board.

It's odd because it went from a 19 in 1, to a 48 in 1, now it's a 60 in 1. the games on the list happen to be nice, but i wish of the ones on there some that i don't care for were able to substitute them for ones i wanted. I then came across arcadeshop's http://arcadeshop.com/multi-pcb/multi-pcb.htm This seems to be what i want, but it's 379.00 kinda pricey for me.
CheffoJeffo you claim ;

Ive read other reviews of people claiming that the sound is too loud ?, but can be lowered is that what you are refering to ?. As for the Hi-score saves on the site it claims :
"New High Score Saver " ? frankly i couldnt really care that much about it nice to have though.. seems like a decent deal for this board, considering the other multi boards out there are in my opinion priced too high. Are there any multi's that use actual roms not emulation ? strickly for vertical .. and can i get a custom burn?
also being that it's an unlicensed copy of MAME, do you happen to know what version of MAME it's utilizing ?

Shhhhh. These boards can't be discussed here.

ok, didn't really know that.. guess for now i'll finish my Gun.Smoke project, which is getting close to being finished. But anyone know of a service that legally can create a custom PCB JAMMA multi ?

Some of the ingame sounds don't match the originals and it would be nice if the relative volume levels of the games were normalized.
-
:dizzy: maybe i'll wait for a better version of it to come out i'm in no rush.
-
I don't see that happening.
I would love for there to be a board that would run licensed copies of games we could choose.
I think it was Hanaho that had a new board that could do that. David Foley has more experience in licensing games than anybody else and I'm sure knows more about that board than I do.
Hopefully the mention of his name in this thread will register on Google and he'll post about it in this thread. No matter what people (myself included) may think, he did stuff that is directly relevant to that goal (and some pretty cool stuff as well).

mrclean, there are larger boards than that, up to 1000-1....maybe even larger....but the really large ones are really just a computer. Anyways, look over at the klov boards. Much discusssed there.
