Title: Wiring Marquee Light directly to AC?

Well I have a MAME cab so there is no need for a power supply.  My marquee light has a small iso trans on it.  Can I just hook it directly up to an outlet? ;D

If it's the fixture I think it is, it's not an isolation transformer, but something called a ballast.  And florescent lights get hooked directly to AC.
