Title: Game wont save altered controls

Iv been playing sonic pinball party but for some reason when I alter the controls in the options menu it does not remember them but reverts to default any ideas why? do I need to alter anything to do with Visual boy advance?

Have you check to make sure that the files you are trying to write to are not "read only"?  Select all the files in the directory and right click on them, choose properties.  Make sure the read only box is not checked.
