Is there a way to re-set the coin door counters to zero ?
-
You can either take them apart and manually play with them (and hope you can get them back together) or increment them repeatedly until they roll back around (or break). Usually not worth the effort. Note that many counters don't actually start at 0 to begin with as the counter factory usually tests them, and the cabinet maker might test it, too.

This gets asked alot.
Officially these are non-resettable to keep route collectors honest. The meter manufacturers do make resettable versions of their non-reset models. They have a "push-to-reset" button on their face. Contact the particular meter manufacturer and give them the voltage, AC or DC, and meter model numbers printed on the meter case. They can them tell you the part number of the resettable version in which you can order. Be advised that the resettable version cost double what a non-reset one does.

Talk to a car dealer or grow house operator, they will know how to wind things back ;)

when i first started as a trainee my boss used to make us do this,he said the customer would think they would be getting a new machine ::)
anyway 90% of the time the meters screwed up(showing half digits) or fell apart-this would cause mpu errors on fruit machines and thus a service call
he then saw some sense and bought new meters :applaud:
