Hello everyone. As you might have seen in my other post I've acquited an old Nintendo PlayChoice cabinet that I'm converting into a normal 1 monitor Mame cabinet due to the damage of the original monitors and side art.
I need to replace the T-molding and I've noticed that Nintendo uses their own special white 9/16" inch T-molding for their cabinets. I'm not sure that I'd like white T-molding for my cabinet or not. I've also noticed that there, apparently, is no much thing as BLACK 9/16" t-molding. Do you guys think that black 5/8" T-molding would work? I'm not sure if it will fit right. And if there is excess if I'd be able to cut it off and still have it look good. Or if the excess would be so small that it'd be negligible.
Your thoughts?

I don't know if they manufacture the t-molding themselves, but like my electronics proffesor once said about electronic parts, "with enough money you can have anything made."
If they manufacture it, perhaps they can make a black mold just for you.
Or maybe you can just ask what would be the best replacement size for 9/16"

I would think 5/8" would be fine. It's only 1/16" wider meaning an extra 1/32" on each side - not a big deal, IMO.
