Hey all,
I know this isn't the epitome of craftsmanship. But I wanted a somewhat portable NAOMI (not a Dreamcast either). Anyways it's here forr those who inquired about it. Thanx for looking

Awesome!!!
It's exactly what I want. Can you add a GD-Rom unit to it?

Yes the GD-ROM upgrade fits (just barely I might add). :P The box needs to be a lil biger tho to fully accomodate it. I also have to see about some speakers. Currently you use headphones for sound. I am undecided on speakers at this point in time. I might redo this in the future make the box bigger and add speakers.

Oh before I forget I will be adding Electric Ice Buttons with RGB boards in like a week or two.

Sounds awesome can't wait to see that! About the speakers I noticed on the back of the Naomi 1 board (seen this in a picture somewhere) there are left and right audio jacks so speakers shouldn't be a problem though I'd imagine it'll tough mounting them to the box. Good luck with this project!

Hi, I have this system I bought the whole arcade a while back but only shipped the guts. I bought the capcom vs snk 2 kit. the only thing is that they forgot to send me the power supply. Is there any picture you can show me of how the system is supposed to be wired ect. can I conect this to a regular monitor and if so what do I need. sorry im a noob.. :notworthy:

I think I'll just stick with headphones for now. I do have room on the top for speakers but I would have to make a hack for volume control. (I'm lazy) On my cabs I use creative powered PC speakers instead of the NAOMI sound amp and it's sounds great and a helluva lot easier to wire for slow wits like me. Someone incquired about some carts I have if the sale goes through I'll have the buttons sooner and I'll post pics with them installed.

Hi Milo,
I would be happy to assist if I can. I really enjoy the NAOMI system and if I can help others to enjoy that's great. What I can do is remove the top with the JAMMA harness and take a pic of the power wiring. You can also use a regular monitor. There is a dipswitch setting on the motherboard to toggle between 15k & 31k. Give me a day or so.

ok...I have a question.
Where did you get all those wonderful toys!?!?! Seriously though. I'm interested in the Naomi system, just dont have the cash to get into it right now.
Where would be a good place to look for a Naomi system, and then the boards/GD-Roms?

I got them from forums & EvilBay. Mostly from forums. You can score some good deals on various forums. Since I don't know the rules about posting links to other forums feel free to PM. You can spend anywhere from $55.00-$80.00 for a NAOMI motherboard. My avg price was like $70.00. Games aren't too expensive it just depends on what you want. I just sold my spare Marvel Vs Capcom 2 cart for like $210.00 it's like $275.00-$300.00 everywhere else. You can get a Capcom Vs SNK cart for like $40.00 if you know where to look. That is a great starter cart for the system. I started with that and it kinda snowballed from there as I found and made deals.
