Title: HELP: JPAC Trouble in MVS Candy
Post by: candycabguy on October 05, 2008, 02:34:13 pm
Hello all, need some help where i can get it!

I am running a PC with XP, soft15mhz, Radeon 9250 video card through a JPAC into an MVS Neo Geo candy Cab.  ALL my video is now straight, and it looks awesome with Maximus.

BUT I cannot get the cab buttons working through JPAC, on power on I get a solid orange LED that stays lit & never blinks.

I am running a keyboard PS2 cable from JPAC to PC but no action.  However I do have a USB keyboard running on PC, tried unplugging with no results.

Any ideas?  Is this an MVS vs JAMMA issue?  I could have sworn I saw an MVS project online where buttons worked immediately.

THANK YOU guys

Lee

You have checked to make sure that a PS/2 keyboard will work with your computer right? Cause that is the first step if you haven't.

If the self-test LED is lighting solid without blinking at all, there might be a short on one or more of the controls. Best drop me an email and we can try to help:

Make sure your JAMMA is really wired up as a JAMMA and not some user modified plug.  Also check your button grounds.  I have a MVS cabinet setup exactly like yours and it works perfect.  You might also try and unplug the USB keyboard.  I doubt that is the problem however I have seen stranger issues.
