Title: Does primer have to fully dry before applying color layer(s) ?

Just wondered:

Does primer have to fully dry before applying color layer(s) ?

Just follow the recoat time on the can.  The manufacturer knows what they're talking about.

Yeah, it says the next layer within 10 minutes OR after fully drying (18 hrs.). But I thought they might only mean the next layer of primer ?

Yeah, within ten minutes would be primer only.  I'd give it the 18 hours before moving to paint.

Yeah, thought so. Not that it needs to look great. Working on the Mario Bross CP now, and it will be totally covered by the CPO of course, but I chose to paint it to prevent rust from happening again.
