The GGG website says that the The Micro-Leaf Arcade Pushbutton Switch accepts standard .187 Female QDs. But that's the same size as the standard Cherry Microswitch and I have both and the Micro-Leaf is definitely smaller than the Cherry. It looks more like .110. Can anyone verify the size? Also, where can I get a bunch of QDs in black? Lizard Lick sells them but they are red.

They are color-coded by size.

They don't seem to be. All of the ones at Lizard Lick are red. Compare these pictures of two diffent sizes:

Doesn't the colour code only indicate the wire gauge?
-
Ah, yes, That seems to be the case:
20-18 AWG = Red
16-14 AWG = Blue
12-10 AWG = Yellow
But that still leaves open the question of what size the GGG Micro-Leafs are.

Sorry, I can only be helpful once per day until I reach third level.

.187 ontop , .250 for the lizard lick picture
as far as the leaf / micro from ggg..
Smaller control panel footprint. Contacts are vertical and will accept standard .187 Female QD's

Uhm, yeah, that reply made no sense. The two pictures that I pasted in from Lizard Lick are .110 (top picture) and .187 (bottom picture). And the quote from GGG solves nothing, as my original point and question was that although the GGG web site SAYS that the micro-leafs accept .187, they clearly are much smaller than the Cherry microswitches, which are .187. So, it seems that the micro-leafs must be smaller, probably .110. I was just asking if anyone could verify the actual size of the micro-leafs through experience, not by quoting the web page, which seems wrong. :banghead:

ask randy directly but worse case if you do buy .187's and should the GGG's be .110 you can always squeeze them with pliers and they would fit perfectly.. It says directly on GGG's site that it works with .187's so i'd just order those QD's

The terminals on the MicroLeaf switches are indeed .110" The description at the site addresses the use of .187" connectors with them (and they do work, at least the ones I have tried) primarily because many will be wanting to replace existing switches. It is important to note that it is not necessary to replace the existing connectors to do so.

Thanks Randy. It would be helpful if the actual size of .110 was stated somewhere on the product page. A lot of people are buying these to build a cab from scratch and I can just as easily buy the .110 ones as the .187 ones. A simple sentence like this will do it: "the terminals on the MicroLeaf switches are .110 but will accept .187 quick dissconnects as well."

I'll update the description with the actual size of the terminal. I just didn't want people to go nuts looking for .110" connectors when it wasn't necessary to do so. Some days, even the .187" aren't easy to find (at a decent price, anyway).
