Title: Help Punch out control panel wiring
Post by: wreckchaser99 on September 28, 2008, 12:58:35 pm
Yesterday I purchased a Punch out arcade game. In carring it into my basement, the control panel was not latched on and came loose. In doing this several of the wires came loose from the back of the stick and buttons. I already downloaded an owner's manual, which doesn't seem to help. Could anyone lead me in the right direction as to what color wires go onto what button and in what place. Words, diagrams, and photos would all help. Thank you in advance.

Page 15 of the manual tells you wire colors, etc.

You should be able to tell just by the bends in the wires and their lengths, and the general area that they are laying; in other words, where does it look like the wires go? Just plug them in where they look like they should go and try the game; you won't hurt anything by getting it wrong; you'll just have the controls mismatched to the actions in the game (i.e., you might push the right punch button and your character throws a left). If you get them wrong, take note of what's wrong and fix it.
