Title: help with x-arcade
Post by: gfunk2k on September 28, 2008, 05:02:13 am
hi peeps. i need you help and advice. i have an x-arcade stick for my cab but i would like to change the colour of the stick and buttons. at the moment they are black and i would like to change them to green. i don't really want to change the whole stick just the colour so is there a way or a place that i could buy the top part for the stick and not the mech as i feel its a waist of money changing the whole stick just for a colour. also the buttons im having problems with as im trying to get the same green as my t-molding. (look at pic below)
any help would be appreciated. ;)

i dont think it is possible to change the colour of the sticks and buttons without speanding more money to do it than buying a new stick

I have an idea. As far as i know the tops are made of some sort of plastic, so maybe you could pull them out, mask off the shafts and spray the bat tops with krylon fusion paint which chemicaly bonds to plastics. you can get it for six bucks at walmart.

I would mask out a test area on the bottom or back of the stick and do a test to See if it works.

any paint you put on there will probably wear away and you would be left with a green stick with black patches all over it. im not saying it definately will... but there is a good chance it would

Spray painting the buttons will definitely wear off after a while anyway, even with a good paint job

And what about 16 new buttons 1.5$ each and 2 new balltops 5$ each? 34$ and you're set.
And while doing this, move all parts into the white panel underneath and trash the X-arcade box.
