Ok. So, I sold a KI2 machine. Before it left, it was in perfect working order. I shipped it from Kansas to Oregon. When it arrived to the new owner, the monitor was dead. It's a zenith tube with a WG chassis. I don't know the model number, but it is most likely the original one from the tube. He says there is voltage at the monitor connector but not the chassis's fuse. Both the power supply and the chassis fuses are good. Anyone know what the problem is or what could have happened to make this problem arise? Also, after a couple minutes, the game also died. The fan and marquee still work, but nothing else. Everything was perfect when it left me. I don't think there is a short due to the fuses not blowing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Things just get banged around during any kind of shipping like that.
Part of the hobby really........
Gonna have to trace things out and look for something loose.
The monitor could have broken solder joints from getting bounced a bit.
As for the game board, they need to check out the power supply for output voltage, etc.

sounds like a faulty power supply,he needs to meter the +5 or he can turn up the screen volts to see if he gets a raster

This is his first machine. It makes me really angry because it worked perfect when I had it, and now it does not. I asked him if there was any neck glow, and he said there was not. He also said that the monitor came on for a split second, then shut off and hasn't come on since. Also, how would a power supply go bad just from shipping?

have to look at a common fault.
no picture,no game sounds-either psu or the power feed to the psu-turning up the screen volts will prove that
highly unlikely for both the monitor and power supply to crap out
perhaps the cab took a serious bump in transit and the chassis worked lose
get him to take some photos of all the areas

The chassis is a K7000. It looks just like this one...

Did the cabinet have a back door and all that?
Check for interlock switches just for kicks .......
