Finally got it mostly done. I was using it for a while till i could afford the trackball, it came in today. When i ordered the mini pac, i did not order the one with the right harness, so i have to make one for that. It is a little more cramped than i would like, i am using a Mortal Kombat cabinet. But i placed the buttons to they do not get in my way, player two will just have to adapt. ;D I wasn't sure if i should put one or two buttons for the trackball but in the end it is two, they are just wired in with buttons one and two on each side. Didnt know if maybe you could play some other games with trackball like 1942 and stuff. But i had the buttons so i put them in. It is kinda close to the left stick so you have to be careful playing golf or something. I got everything from Ultimarc, they are kick ass in shipping, even from coming from way over there. I ordered the new short, ball sticks to try them out. I accidentally ordered only one so I ordered the other one today, it cost more to ship it than it does to buy the part, but that was my bad.

You need more buttons per player.

Somebody going for a slice (hook?) on golden tee is going to kill their fingers on that joystick. Should be fun to watch.
Need a few spinners on there too!

Come on now, be nice!

That was nice.
Someone else could've said much worse than that.

Its all good ;) there is "only" 8 buttons per player, I don't play the golf games, it is mainly there for centipede and millipede. But I put a wingnut on the bottom of the joystick, so in the even someone wanted to play it, I can pop the right stick out quickly. Hopefully i can build a new cab later and spread things out. I wanted a spinner, but it is gonna have to wait till i get some more cash.

Why did you opt for 8 buttons per player? Are you running console emulators? The construction looks good even if the layout is not my preference.

Definitely agree there. Nice job.

I wanted 4 buttons in a row for Samurai Showdown, and i just needed it to be symmetric, otherwise it would bother me. 6 or 7 would have been enough, but if it was not even i now it would bug me. When i do my next panel, i probably only do 6 buttons. The other buttons on top are coin and admin. I could have used a shift function, but I didnt think there was to many buttons.

Why does an uneven setup bother you? Did you start out playing games like Street Fighter (and from the sound of it, Neo Geo)? If you go back to games like Defender, it shouldn't bother you.
Hey, it's your panel (and a nice one at that), so do what works for you. I was just interested in how far back your arcade gaming goes.

It actually has nothing to do with games, I am just one of those people who cant sit and watch tv if it is not in the middle of the wall, or I cant sleep if my shoes are not even on the floor at the end of the bed, lol.

OCD?
We can handle that around here ;D
You're in good company!

Symmetry went out the window when you put two different joysticks in there. ;D
I'm just joking. Yeah, there are too many buttons for my tastes but it's fine (only 2 more than average). It's still a good looking panel.

yeah, the joystick mistake cost me 14 dollars shipping, I should review my cart better before i purchase.

You don't think the 4 black buttons to the left and right of your trackball are going to interfere with your game-playing?
I like your routing job. Did you use a jig or freehand it? I have to learn how to use one of those things.
