Title: looking for these?
Post by: skyblast on September 23, 2008, 08:01:24 pm
I'm trying to install mala but can't seem to find these files??

a) copy “catver.ini” into the "C:\Emulators\Programs\mame\” directory

b) copy "controls.ini" into the "C:\Emulators\Programs\mame\” directory

c) copy “history.dat” into the "C:\Emulators\Programs\mame\” directory

Where are these found?  I thought I followed the steps perfectly?  "I've searched in every folder for them?

Thanks

Thanks guys!!  I hope this works.  Lastly I don't understand the the part where you are asked to do this

4) Execute the following command to go into the mame install directory:

   cd C:\Emulators\Programs\mame

When the window opens

I get C:\Documents and Setings\Tim.Home-PYXHOAUFBO>

What do I put in?

Thanks

SGT...I feel that you are in my corner!!  Thanks!

Ok, I did accomplish that but then I got another c prompt...was something supposed to happen?

Then I get confused again by the next step???  Just type in     mame -cc     ?

5) Execute the following command to produce a “mame.ini” file:

   mame -cc
