Title: how to do it, set it up, 1st steps, help
Post by: G1zm0 on September 23, 2008, 10:10:39 am
ok got me roms all in place and the fe working (mala), now what i need to know is.

i want to hide windows as per wiki entry, but if i want to add roms, emus or tinker with the innings of the emus how do i do this?

if i follow guide and make 2 accounts as it says, how do i log in to second account to change things if it boots straight to fe with no cursor?

also i tryed the 2 accounts  but windows gets to the point where it should pop up the names then hangs , took about 3 resets to get it to boot to this screen, when i delete the accounts it works.

this is only snaggs on this machine that is bugging me.

still other machine snaggs to sort out but thats another post :)

I don't know about Mala, but I know in Mamewah I can exit to windows instead of shutting down. Surely Mala has that. If I need to work on my system, I start it as normal, then exit Mamewah into Windows.

It says to use 2 accounts? I use 1 account so it doesn't prompt for a logon. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

You use two accounts to make adjustments, then when you are done you delete the account.

Not at this stage yet, but close.  Can you tell me the link to this in the wiki?

"Here is the process to follow in order to set up your front end as a shell:
You must have at least 2 users with admin privileges
Open the user that will be auto logged in to the account that will be running your front end as a shell. This user should have admin rights.
Set XP to automate the login process."

i take it thats how i adjust the fe from another account?  to get into this do i hold down f8 or something?
