Does anyone know of a source for illuminated sticks for Happ Supers? (8 way)... I saw an old review for SlikStik illuminated balltop replacements and would kill for a set of those....
I am 95 percent done with my control panel for my showcase cabinet (the only thing left to do) and would love to throw a high end spinner and set of illuminated sticks on it before I seal it up. The way my current control panel is setup is with two trackballs, 1 3" green (LED), 1 2 1/4" blue (LED), 8 colored translucent buttons on each player side (R,Y,G,B x2) all wired with LEDS (Dang that was time consuming), 4 translucent special function buttons (LED) and then P1&P2 start/coin buttons. I currently have an Arkanoid spinner on it as well, but would love a SlikStik Tornado (have had several before and love the feel). I can get a SlikStik through Happ, but there is a 14 day backorder on it and I am really impatient as this thing is so close to being finished. Any other spinners out there that have the small shaft feed through the CP, like the Tornado?
Sooooo.... I have all this work in to my "Pimp My Control Panel", and would love to put these final touches on it (Like yesterday) before sealing it up..... Why did you disappear SlikStik.....

Luigi might be able to hook you up - he does Sanwas (which I believe fit the Ultimarc U360) - perhaps he can do a custom stick? Or, just switch joysticks, the supers aren't that great...

Hi Tim.
I am waiting for a package that holds a Happ Super from a german owner. I'll take a look at the stick and see if it is possible to make it. U360 for example is not that easy because it doesn't work with microswitches and has a magnet sitting at the bottom of the shaft......Franco might have a solution für U360 meanwhile :notworthy:
I will then make a drawing of the stick and give it to the company that does them for me. That might take up to three weeks.
If you're interested....just look at my site in the signature :)
I have to say that there are only 3mm-RGB-LEDs available that change the color automatically. Don't know what LEDs you have inside your buttons. I ordered very small SMD-RGBs already wired and I hope to bring them on my shafts so one can adjust the color he wants or use them with LED-Wiz.

www.groovygamegear.com (located in the US) does this:

They fit the Happ super joystick among others. You have to contact Randy T and GGG to order LED ones. He also has RGB units (I'm currently testing out the prototype) which should be released shortly.

Randy posted a cryptic post a few weeks ago and it looks like an announcement is pending. I think he'll have something like the Slikstick illuminated handles soon. :dunno

He'll probably release the LED versions first (one color at a time). The RGB LED stick are good for panels with no bottoms on them since they are a bit "long" with the rgb plug on the bottom. I'm trying to help him with a 90 degree plug (4 pole) which may correct the problem, but they are rare to find.

I'm not sure if this is what the OP was looking for, but I have a question to add :
Are there such things as translucent or illuminated bat tops? Everything I "find" is ball top or opaque.
-
I don' think there are illuminated bat tops, but that would be my preference over the ball tops.... Regardless, my search is now over and I have some illuminated ball tops coming my way!!!!!!!!! I am stoked to get these... And for the record, while some feel the Happ Supers are a bit inferior to others out there, I absoultely love the way they feel... Not sure why, I have always used them I guess...

Immensely. Mouser drives me crazy. This is the second time they had something I needed, but couldn't find through the website.
The only concern about this is the cost, but better to have something that costs too much than to not have it.
Many thanks for the lead, Franco (and to DeLuSioNal29 as well for all of his efforts)

So where did you get them from? And - how about some pics when you get them installed and working?

Ask and ye shall receive :) .... I got them from Randy at GGG and they are awesome! I just finished my panel last night, so here are some pics.... I will post more pics of the entire cabinet up and running later.... Yes I know there are a lot of buttons, but I have PSX and N64 on there as well and this fits the bill....

Very nice what's the second mini trackball for?
It is for Marble Madness (and Ataxx)... The primary reason for me wanting to do dual trackballs (MM). It is also for those games that had smaller trackballs, I don't like the feel of the large trackball on those....
